Phlink is the native mobile intranet app that Componence developed for healthcare provider Philadelphia. It involved devoting a great deal of time and energy to the expansion and improvement of the development tool Liferay Screens. How was this done and what was the result? You can read this in part 2 of our three-part blog series Mobile First with Liferay Screens.
Smartphone and tablet
Philadelphia wished to communicate with its 8,000 employees via the devices that are used most often nowadays: the smartphone and the tablet. It also needed to be possible for users to shape their digital environment themselves. Componence developed a mobile app on the basis of Liferay Screens, which makes use of the Liferay platform that Philadelphia had already invested in.
Modification and expansion of screenlets
The development tool Liferay Screens works with screenlets that use the Liferay content and web services for native apps. Componence modified the standard screenlets that were available and developed numerous new screenlets as well. We are happy to make use of our knowledge and expertise for organizations that wish to acquire a head start with native mobile apps on the basis of Liferay Screens.
