Kluwer NL Shop launched today
Today the new shop and portal for Kluwer the Netherlands has been launched. It will be the main entrance for professionals in different fields to search for specific products and order them online.
Online revenue is a fast growing part of the business for Publishers in the professional market. Therefore Kluwer decided to build a new more flexible, future proof Ecommerce platform based on standard software. The Kluwer shop is built on Elastic Path, a fast growing Ecommerce software vendor from Vancouver, Canada.
The front end of the shop consists of a Portal which allows Kluwer to easily integrate other applications with the shop, like Trinicom (FAQ). The standard content parts of this portal are built with Portletsuite, our standard configurable portlets.
Next year Kluwer will focus on extending the current shop with Affiliate shops to deliver relevant products for specific target user groups in their community.
