Multikabel provides cable-television in Noord-Holland to over 300.000 homes and enterprises. The supply area covers 43 municipalities. Multikabel offers new media and communication services through their modern glass-fibre network: analogue and digital television, internet, datacom services and telephony. Situated in Alkmaar and Hoofddorp, Multikabel has over 250 employees working on facilitating the use of modern communication services in homes and companies. Multikabel wanted to offer to its clients online storage services via a web interface. Componence offered this sololution by using out-of-the-box components in a clustered environment. One of the main components in the solution is the Virtual Drive (Vdrive).
After the launch the Multikabel customers responded enthusiastically to the new online storage service and thousands of memebers immediately started using thise unique service. The new application is ideally suited to users who are working from different locations and/or users who often want to share documents with third parties.
